Mission
 The purpose of the International Services Office (ISO) is to provide the opportunity for international students
and scholars to carry out their intellectual objectives within the framework of immigration regulations and
American customs. This mission, in part, is accomplished through ISO services and programs designed to
assist students and scholars to meet their responsibilities as non-immigrant visitors. Further, the ISO supports
cross-cultural activities which provide opportunities for students and scholars to have exposure to American
society and values and, in return, to share their own culture with Americans.
The ISO cooperates with other
campus units to draw international students and scholars into mainstream campus life. The ISO strives to
augment the academic experience of Mississippi State University's international students and scholars. It is
the responsibility of the ISO to provide leadership and expertise in immigration matters for Mississippi State University.
